Dream about a furry turtle...hmm

(See Animals in A)

I had a dream that I had a turtle as a pet. I felt a lot of affection for this animal and it had fur. That's it.

This turtle could be used as a description for a person's character, perhaps they can be snappy? The fur will give you a false sense of the personality because perhaps you see this person as cuddly and fluffy but they can be snappy and emotionally driven.

Composite animals represent personalities that are made up of opposing or different facets. One minute they are one way and the next they change into somebody else. (The Jekyll and Hyde phenomenon)
Turtles are water creatures, they represent a person who is quite emotionally driven and allow their emotions to guide them in all the decisions they make.

Having a pet is another way of saying that you feel as though you always need to be looking after someone, (you are a carer and you just can't help it) or perhaps you always sort their problems out for them. Believe me, this doesn't work, people have to sort their own problems out. 'You can lead a turtle to water but you can't make them drink'.
Pets can also be used to symbolise the fact that you require unconditional love in return for looking after someone.

I dreamed about a turtle egg, I was holding it and watching it hatch in my hand?

Watching an egg hatch in your hand would probably link with holding something new and precious in the palm of your hand, you have control of its future and the outcome of its survival. What or who the turtle is representing is for you to work out, water creatures usually describe emotionally driven characters, in this case it could be used to describe the starting of a new venture which will link with your emotions, like buying a house with someone else for example.
